In March 2015, my team conducted a field trip to Oaxaca, Mexico, where offers documentary filmmakers many diverse opportunities for discovering subjects and stories. In Oaxaca, I worked with Ms. Mimi Edmunds, the Emmy-nominated producer who credits include 60 Minutes, CBS’ documentary unit, to conduct shooting for my documentary.
Within the 9 days in Oaxaca, I conducted field interviews with the local Oaxaquenõs; i did research about the culture, tradition, and history; and I shoot stories about the local art, food, architecture, archeological sites, and music.
This documentary is in a form of a travel log. I use the camera as my eyes, from a tourist`s perspective, to explore the city and the stories within it.
